I brought home with me my new ChloƩ perfume:

and the new Nylon Mag for the month of April- the anniversary issue. It has Lindsay Lohan on the cover. Nylon is celebrating its 10th birthday! In the issue it recaps some of Nylon's memorable moments as well as some new exciting stuff.
Being back home here, I am excited at the prospect of my jam-packed weekend. After landing, I went home to freshen up and then immediately headed out to OHGE Ltd. to begin the gallery internship. Today was mostly quiet- with only a handful of people wandering through during my 6 hours of over-seeing the gallery. Most of my time was spent researching other local galleries and artists that OGHE Ltd. will exhibit in the future. At the moment we are exhibiting a Tacoma-based artist Nicholas Nyland. His work consists of ceramic sculptures, papier mache objects and watercolors. His work is vibrant and alive with color. Here are some images:

My week of spring break is coming to a close. Next week marks the beginning of spring quarter. I am excited for the upcoming challenge of taking higher level art history classes and juggling work, the gallery and schoolwork. The next few months should really be educational as far as figuring out this thing called the big picture.
I hope this blog can be a place where I discuss the things I am doing- mostly focusing on exploring the art community, my ideas for art projects and probably some fashion finds. I hope my thoughts weren't too boring.
I really liked this entry Chris! I'm glad that you had fun, I know that I love LA and California way more than you do, but I'm glad you saw that as a place that had some aspects that interested you :) I hope that you get a chance to see the getty and other art galleries here the next time we visit (whenever that is) and that MAYBE you will goto grad school down here! I drove by Alexander McQueen on Melrose and I thought of you :) You would have liked to go inside. Miss you and see you soon!
